Artist Harro Maass was born on the North Sea Island of Wangerrooge. He holdsa Bachelor of Arts degree from Kerkkunstschule Krefeld. After his graduation in1962, he became an art director and a graphic designer. He started paintingwildlife in 1987 but has worked as a freelance illustrator since1974. Articles about him can be found in US Art and Wildlife Art Magazine.
